Great selection of steam rooms (Turkish, Japanese, Indian and more) and sauna. There is a nice cafe for food and drinks. The surroundings are wonderfully relaxing. The Experience showers are a bit cold along with the pools. Surprisingly good value can be found on day visits. Really strong jets in the indoor pools to pummel you.
It's the 1st time for a spa day with the wife for myself so I wasn't sure what to expect but I came away feeling happy and relaxed. I really enjoy a sauna so was spoilt for choice as there is 6 or 7 different types. Staff brought round champagne cocktails for free nice. The spa experience with an aurora reading was good too.

My wife and I have enjoyed many good meals at this pleasant and friendly pub. The steak night (Wednesdays) are particularly good value. They are very child friendly and have high chairs available. They also serve a very nice pint of Jennings Cumberland Ale.
Fantastic place to come whist doing the C2C! Warm welcome and great food. Britain's best cycling pub, complete with the TdF Yellow Jersey 2012!

We were lucky enough to reserve Greengill Holidays (the entire bunk barn plus two cottages) for our wedding party celebrations, and we couldn't be more delighted. The cottages itself were perfect for me and my husband, plus one of my bridesmaids who reserved the second one. Inside, they're incredibly comfortable, perfectly well-equipped and really relaxing places to be – just what you need for a special weekend! The setting itself is ideal too – our cottage and outside terrace looked out over fields full of lambs to the beautiful hills – a great location for anyone who wants to explore Cumbria. Perhaps most importantly, the bunk barn was perfect for our celebrations! We all gathered there on the weekend of the ceremony, and the huge open-plan room with pool table, large well-equipped kitchen and great sound system were ideal. All the guests enjoyed a cosy, comfortable night's sleep in the bunk rooms, which was much more convenient and economical than paying for hotels. And the camping facilities were great too. All in all, a perfect weekend. Thank you again Freddy!
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
